Eintracht Frankfurt will have to do without Allan on loan from Liverpool for the next six weeks. The Brazilian tore a lateral ligament in his knee during training, as further investigations have shown.
Setback for Eintracht Allan. The Brazilian loan from Liverpool FC had already failed at the weekend . SGE coach Adi Hütter said that the 21-year-old midfielder twisted his knee in training.
On Tuesday afternoon, however, Eintracht announced that Allan was seriously injured. According to the club, Allan tore a lateral ligament in his knee and will be out for the rest of the first half of the season. The Brazilian is expected to be able to resume training in six weeks. Then the preparations for the second half of the season will begin for Frankfurt.
As Eintracht further announced, Allan will fly to England on Wednesday to be examined by Liverpool FC team doctors. The further treatment steps should then also be coordinated there.
So far, the loan deal hasn't really paid off for either Eintracht or the former Brazil U20 international. Allan has only played four compulsory players for the Adler, after all he was in the starting XI twice. Even before his injury, Jonathan de Guzman and Gelson Fernandes were clearly ahead in midfield under Adi Hütter.
