Transfermarkt: Edin Dzeko verlängert bei der Roma

​Edin Dzeko was hotly courted in ​Serie A  this summer. However, after much back and forth, the Bosnian signed a new contract with AS Roma late on Friday evening.

Despite his 33 years of age, Edin Dzeko is still one of the first strikers in Serie A. But one thing is also clear: the Bosnian will sign his last major contract this summer. Inter Milan expressed interest until  Romelu Lukaku was signed  , and SSC Napoli and AS Monaco were also traded. On Friday, however, Dzeko signed a new working paper in Rome.

Edin Dzeko: A pillar in the team

Dzeko tied himself to the Romans until 2022; then he would be 36. The ex-Wolfsburg player has already scored 87 goals for the Italian capital club. "Before last season was over, we had already made the decision: Edin would be one of our pillars on which we will build our new team," club boss  Guido Fienga said of his striker's contract extension.
